Your oil supply will not be adversely affected: Iraqi ambassador clarified

New Delhi, 11 January 2020, Saturday

Iraqi Ambassador Falah Abdulhassan Abdul Sada said in an interview that the current tensions between Iran and the United States would not adversely affect India's oil supply. India will continue to receive the supply of crude oil as usual.

Iran has fired rockets and missiles more than once at the US Embassy in Baghdad after top Iranian military officer Qasim Suleiman was killed in an airstrike at the Baghdad airport. So naturally, with other countries, India had the impression that the crude oil supply it received would be affected.

The Iraqi ambassador rejected this belief. Even so, he went on to say that all Indians living in Iraq are safe and their security responsibility is ours. Don't worry.
