US-Iran tensions hit Indian market, Sensex plunges by over 800 points


New delhi date. 06 January 2020, Monday

The Indian stock market is seeing its impact amid ongoing tensions between the United States and Iran. Today the Sensex opened at 41,378 with 86 points decrease and the Nifty 56 points open at 12,170. At 2.19 pm, the Sensex was trading 820 points at 40,644. The Nifty was down 243 points at 11,983, down 12 thousand.

At 12.50 pm, the Sensex was trading at 40,749 with a decrease of 714 points. The Nifty was trading at 12,018 with a decrease of 208 points. The Sensex was seen trading below 41 thousand. Gold is getting expensive as investors are investing in gold. Gold in the futures trade opened at 40,250 with a gain of 194 rupees today. At 9.40 am in the morning it was trading 41 thousand at 41010 with a gain of about 900 rupees.

Silver also rose sharply. In the futures trade, March 5 silver opened at Rs 48,251 per kg on the morning. At 9.44 in the morning, it was trading at 48,580 with a gain of Rs 1053. During business hours it reached 48,660 levels.
