Supreme Court rejects petition against Akshay Kumar's death sentence for Nirbhaya murder

The Supreme Court has dismissed the curative petition against the death sentence of Akshay Kumar, another convicted in the Nirbhaya murder case. The gap between the hanging of Akshay Kumar has been narrowed.

Now he has no choice but to apply mercy to the president. The prosecutor argued that there were 17 cases of rap and murder in which the Supreme Court reduced the death sentence. General Chat Chat Lounge

The court, however, refused to reconsider the death sentence and dismissed the petition.

Now the remaining accused Pawan Gupta has the option of applying for mercy from the Curative Petition and the President and Vinay Sharma has the option of applying for mercy to the President. Another accused Mukesh Singh has no option left.
