Students from all over the country mobilized against JNU violence

New Delhi, Jan 6, 2020, Monday

Students across the country have unanimously condemned the attack against the masked attackers at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) on Sunday night and announced peaceful protests on Monday.

While the students of JNU alleged that the violent attack was carried out by the All India Student Council, the Students' Council (ABVPA) alleged that the attack was carried out by the Left unions.

Acknowledging that the attack was pre-planned, Delhi Police launched an inquiry into the identity of the attackers on the basis of CCTV and after questioning the eyewitnesses of the incident. Thus, the movement for the last two and a half months has been on the issue of additional fees in JNU. On Saturday, some students forcibly entered the information center and locked the server and locked the server room.

This led to a brawl and a minor dispute between the JNU and ABVP representatives. On Sunday, a student of JNU held a rally from the Sabarmati hostel. During this time there was a violent attack.

On Monday morning, some university students' unions, including Delhi University, were once again organized and expressed their support to JNU's student union. They were announced today as peaceful demonstrations.
