Siddhivinayak Ganapati Temple, located in Prabhadevi area of Mumbai, received a gift of 35kg of gold.
The gold was donated as an umbrella on Ganapati's head. An anonymous devotee of Capital New Delhi sent this umbrella on condition of anonymity.
This Ganapati considers the Ganapati of the temple as thousands of devotees. Some devotees, like megastar Amitabh Bachchan and his family, are walking from their residence to the temple.
This temple is also considered as one of the richest temples in Maharashtra. A devotee of Delhi donated 35kg gold plated umbrella. The umbrella was estimated at Rs 14 crore. Its administrators plan to install this umbrella on the roof of the temple.
The temple administrators refused to disclose the identity of the devotee.
