Pakistan frees 20 Indian fishermen, leaving Lahore to return home by train

Karachi, Ta. January 6, 2020, Monday

Pakistan released 20 Indian fishermen on Sunday and boarded a train from Lahore to the Wagah border.

It was formally announced that these fish would be handed over to Indian officials along the Wagah border.

Aurangzeb Khan, superintendent of the Malir Jail in Sindh province, confirmed this information and said that I received a message from the Home Ministry asking that these 20 fishermen be released. We still have 237 Indian fish in our jails.

Indian Navy caught Indian fish catching illegal fish in Pakistani waters. For the last one year, these 20 fishermen were in Malir Prison.

Pakistan's world-renowned NGO, Adhi Foundation, who has worked hard to release these fishes, told the Foundation that before giving these fishermen a train, we gave them some money and some necessary supplies.

The fish were likely to return home today.
