New delhi date. 13 January 2020, Monday

VIP security cuts are under way to strengthen the country's security. After the removal of SPG cover security, the central government has decided to remove NSG commands completely. From now on, as many as 13 VIPs, including security minister Rajnath Singh and UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath, will no longer have the security of NSG's Black Cat commandos.

According to sources, about two decades later, 450 NSG commanders will be removed from VIP security duty. When NSG was formed in 1984, VIP duty was not part of its core function. NSG Z Plus protects 13 VIPs with security. Each person has two NSG commandos. The Home Ministry believes that these NSG commandos should focus on their fundamental tasks in the campaign against incidents such as terrorism and plane hijacking.

A security official said in more detail that the responsibility for VIP security from NSG will now be entrusted to CRPF and CISF. Which is already serving 130 distinguished people. The security of CRPF is met by former PM Manmohan Singh and his wife, Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. As well as providing security to other key people including CISF National Security Advisor Ajit Dobhal and RSS President Mohan Bhagwat.
