Not CAA-NRC in Shaheenbagh but opposition to Modi-Shah: BJP

New delhi date. January 27, 2020, Monday

Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad made a statement regarding the ongoing CAA-NRC-NPR protest by women in Shaheen Bagh. He claimed that in fact, the Shaheenbagh movement was not opposed to the CAA but was being opposed to Narendra Modi.

Along with Ravi Shankar Prasad said that Shaheenbagh is not a forum of opposition but it is a stand-alone gang and a stand of Modi protesters. Prasad made this statement at a press conference. He said that despite the fact that no one has ever spoken against any section of the citizenship law, the protest has been issued.

This law has been handled by the whole democratic process in Parliament and there is no point in sitting on the dharna even after it is challenged in the Supreme Court. Prasad claimed that the Shaheenbagh movement was one way to suppress too many peaceful people.

The Congress, on the other hand, responded back to the BJP statement and attacked Narendra Modi. In the Lok Sabha, Congress leader Arthur Ranjan Chowdhury questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying that during the three-tier bill, Modi shed tears for Muslim sisters.

If Narendra Modi is honest, he should go to Shaheenbagh now and hear the sorrow of Muslim women, mothers and sisters who have been agitating for more than a month.

When Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said that no CAA was being opposed in Shaheenbagh, but in fact Narendra Modi was being opposed. We have repeatedly stated that the citizenship research law does not strip anyone of their citizenship but gives them citizenship. Every Muslim citizen of this country lives in this country with full respect. Our question is, which article of the CAA do you dislike?
