Nada, who worked for the party again on a scooter with Modi, became the BJP president


Delhi's first challenge for Nadda, elections in more than a dozen states including Bihar, Bengal during his tenure

JP Nadda has officially taken over as the new BJP president. JP Nadda has succeeded Amit Shah. Amit Shah congratulated Nadda for becoming the BJP's national president. There was no opposition in the party's appointment of JP Nadda, so he was given this position with all unanimity.

59-year-old JP Nadda has studied BA and LLB. He was chosen by Narendra Modi and Amit Shah as its chairmen. Nadda has served in Himachal Pradesh's three MLAs in 1993, 1998 and 2007.

Nadda was elected as BJP president when Amit Shah was made the Home Minister last year. Nadda was made in-charge of Uttar Pradesh during the last Lok Sabha elections, in which the BJP won 62 of the 80 seats, which was also credited to Nadda.

Nadda was already active in politics but his name was discussed at the national level in 2010 when Nitin Gadkari made him the BJP's general secretary. Later in 2012, Nadda became the Rajya Sabha MP.

Nadda served as Health Minister in the Government from 2014 to 2019. Nada was congratulated by many leaders including Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh for becoming the BJP's national president.

Modi had echoed his memories with Nadda, while addressing the party's main office, saying that new generations were joining the party. The BJP abides by the limits and will continue to do so.

Later, Modi greeted Nadda and said that at one time both me and Nadda were riding and working on a scooter together. Nadda later thanked Modi and Amit Shah, as well as every party leaders and activists. At present, the Delhi Assembly is a major challenge for Nada while elections are to be held in Bihar at the end of the year.
