Investigation of Sharjeel Imam continued, FIR was registered in 6 states

Chomer was conducting raids to search for the missing JNU student, Sharjeel Imam, who fled anti-national statements. An FIR was registered against Shargil in six states.

Sharjeel's brother and a jigger friend were arrested for questioning. Shargil's residence at Jahanabad was also raided. Sharmil's brother Muzammil was detained.

Meanwhile, JNU's proctor sent a summons in Sharjeel's name and sought clarification on his anti-national statement by February 3rd.

The Crime Branch of the Delhi Police had formed a team of five elected officials to locate Sharjeel. Sharjeel, who graduated from IIT, Mumbai, was searching for police in more than four states. Shargil came to the media center overnight with anti-country speeches.

Meanwhile, JNU students marched in support of Shargil and declared open support to Shargil.
