Delhi Assembly does not win on hatred: Rajnath Singh

New Delhi, Jan 30, 2020, Thursday

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday said that we are not interested in winning the Delhi assembly on the basis of hate. Love and brotherhood maintain victory.

The Delhi assembly election environment is hot right now. This is probably the first time Rajnath Singh's statement has been heard when every party and leader makes controversial statements. Addressing a rally in the Adarsh Nagar area of Delhi, Rajnath Singh said that he would not doubt the intention or sanctity of the government. We are understanding every step of the way.

He said that we do not enjoy hatred wins. We will not accept such a victory. An incident like Shaheen Bagh was causing fears among the people that the citizenship of some people would be stripped. There is no talk of stripping one's citizenship here. People who have come as refugees have to talk about maintaining citizenship. Opposition is propagating false and poisonous.

Rajnath Singh added that I do not know whether you will vote for us or not. I don't even want to know. But understand one thing. I assure you, do not be misled by the new citizenship law or the misconceptions that are spreading over the citizens register.

This step was initiated by our previous government. But he did not have the courage to move on. Now we are moving on to this point, so they are protesting because they fear that their vote bank will be robbed.
