CBI court summons to Andhra CM in disproportionate assets case

Hyderabad, Ta. January 4, 2020, Saturday

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy was ordered to appear on January 10 by a special CBI court for disclosure of alleged damages in his company's investment.

The court ordered the hearing of Reddy's plea to be personally exempted from appearing in court. He avoids coming to court by pretending that he has been too busy as a chief minister since Jaganmohan became chief minister. The court heard the petition on Friday.

Earlier, the court rejected such application. In connection with the case, he was sentenced to 15 months in jail following his arrest in May. He was finally released on bail from Chanchalguda Jail on September 9. At that time, the court held that Jaganmoh would have to appear in court whenever there was a matter.
