Army chief responds after Indian bat beheaded: Army Chief

New Delhi / Jammu, Ta. January 11, 2020, Saturday

Pakistan's Border Action Team (BAT) killed two Indian nationals on Friday and cut off the head of a civilian. Responding sharply to the incident, Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Narwane said that the professional army never supports barbaric acts and such incidents will be answered by the army.

General Narwani claimed that for the first time an Indian citizen had been beheaded by a baton group of the Pakistani army. In the past, the incident occurred when the Pakistani army had cut off the heads of Indian soldiers.

A Pakistani army bat group killed two Indian civilians on the control line in Poonch district on Friday and took the head of one of them, an official in Jammu said. The Pakistani Army's bat group includes its army officers and terrorists.

A senior police officer said the body of Mohammed Aslam, 28, was found in critical condition and his head was missing. Defense spokesman had earlier said that Aslam and Altaf Hussain (23) are both residents of the Gulpur sector.

Two porters were killed and three others were injured in a Pakistani army mortar attack on a control line in Poonch district. However, officials said on Saturday that a porter's head was missing and the bat team was believed to have taken Aslam's head with him. Regarding the incident, General Narwani said, "We will respond to this with a military response to Pakistan."

On the other side, the opposition surrounded PM Modi and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, questioning why they were silent about this barbaric act in Pakistan. Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewal questioned when will the unjust act be answered in Pakistan? When will 10 head bend against 1 head?
