Amit Shah meets Delhi's lieutenant governor, discusses JNU violence

Home Minister Amit Shah today visited Lt. Governor Anil Baijal of the capital, New Delhi, and it was learned that there was a discussion between the two on Sunday at the Jawaharlal Nehru University.

According to a report, Warden R Meena of Sabarmati Hostel of JNU has resigned.

Amit Shah had suggested to Baijal that you should call the student representatives and talk to them. Understanding their problems can then be taken.

Meanwhile, Delhi Police claimed that we had identified some of the attackers. An FIR was registered.

On the other hand, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also had a meeting with his ministers in which JNU violence was being discussed.

Different political leaders and parties were talking differently on this issue. BSP president Mayawati criticized the violence, saying that the central government should take serious note of the incident while the main opposition Congress leader Kapil Sibal blamed Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the violence. He said that such a grand plan of violence would not be possible without the blessings of the Home Minister.
