According to some reports, two Israeli Air Force F-351 fighter planes targeted trucks and members of the PMF on the Iraq-Syria border at Bokuml in Syria. The PMF is also known as Hashd al-Shabi. This organization is backed by Iran. America has declared it a terrorist organization.

Iraqi security officials and other officials said Israeli fighter planes targeted vehicles carrying missiles along the Syrian border. He added that eight members of the PMF were killed in the attack while several others sustained serious injuries. As such, the death toll is likely to rise.

In recent years, Israel has been repeatedly attacking Iranian-backed forces in Syria and has warned against Iran's permanent presence on the Syrian border. The deputy head of Hashd al-Shabi was also killed in a drone attack in the US last week alongside Qasim Sulaiman, the Iranian commander.

After Sulaimani's death, Iran threatened retaliation against the United States and targeted airbuses in Iraq's Irbil and Al Assad areas, where American forces and allied forces have camped.

At the same time, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard warned countries like Israel that if the Middle East countries assist American forces in attacking them, they will respond to them.

Iraq told the United States on Friday to send a delegation to Baghdad to begin preparations for withdrawal of security forces from the country, but the US refused to withdraw its forces from Iraq.

The Trump administration has imposed new sanctions on Iran on Friday in retaliation for a missile attack earlier this week by the Islamic Republic on an American base in Iraq.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Finance Minister Steven Nuchin said new sanctions had been imposed by targeting eight senior Iranian officials. These officials were involved in spreading unrest in the Middle East and Tuesday's missile attacks.

US President Trump will issue orders imposing sanctions on Iran's textile, construction, manufacturing or mining sectors. Besides, separate sanctions will be imposed against the steel and iron sectors.

Donald Trump had previously withdrew and imposed sanctions on Iran under US sanctions under the 2015 nuclear deal. That has had a profound impact on Iran's economic development and its oil exports have reached a historic bottom.
