Uddhav Thackeray met the Prime Minister for the first time after becoming Chief Minister

Pune (Maharashtra) Date: December 7, 2019, Saturday

Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Pune on Friday. This was his first meeting with the Prime Minister after becoming Chief Minister.

A three-day DGP and IGP conference has been organized in Pune. Senior police officers from the state are attending the conference. Uddhav's visit with the Prime Minister is important as the Maharashtra Assembly elections were contested with the BJP and the Shiv Sena.

But later, the Shiv Sena demanded 50-50, relations with the BJP broke down and Shiv Sena formed the government with the NCP and Congress.

Uddhav Thackeray and Shiv Sena's Uddhav's son Aditya Thackeray did not accept the demand of the Chief Minister as the NCP and the Congress did not accept, so Uddhav himself became the Chief Minister.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and former state Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis are also expected to attend the three-day conference. Governor Bhagat Singh Koshari and Uddhav Thackeray will also be present at the conference for three days.
