Subhashyam Swami reached IIM by inciting the whip of the party

New Delhi, 13 Dec 2019, Friday

With the recent citizenship reforms bill and the second issue being held in Parliament almost every day, the BJP whip, who did not want any MP from the party, went to attend a panel discussion organized by the Indian Institute of Management.

Former Union Minister and Congress Jairam Ramesh, former Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu, BJP's Vinay Sahasrabuddhe and former Union Minister Satyapal Singh were also invited to the ceremony, but as the winter session of Parliament was underway, these people thought it appropriate to attend Parliament.

On the other hand, Subramanian Swamy emphasized the importance of attending a panel discussion. However, if this breaches the party's whip, the lord may lose the parliamentary seat.

Swamy said at the ceremony that it was more appropriate for me to come to this function and to make you aware of the situation than to attend Parliament. The BJP member demanding the abolition of my parliament will be dragged to court. I felt more fit to come here.
