Delhi, December 8, 2019 Sunday

Police have arrested Rehan, the factory owner responsible for the fire that broke out in a fire in the Grain Mandi area of Delhi. He was absconding after the incident. Police have also arrested his manager, Furhanan.

The complaint was registered under Sections 304 and 285 (negligence) of IPC on Rahan. Section 304 is used for unintentional murder. If convicted, there is a provision of 10 years imprisonment or life imprisonment and a fine.

North Delhi's DCP Monica Bhardwaj said rescue and relief work has ended. Now there is no news that anyone is trapped in the building. Factories are being operated in illegal houses in the film district of Old Delhi.

The buildings have also been upgraded to a standard height. The fire department's NOC is required to operate the factory but it is not to be taken.

Apart from this, the streets here are very narrow. It is natural to have major casualties in a tragedy like fire. The fire has killed more than a hundred people in the fire.
