Priyanka's pickups demanded a judicial inquiry into the lathi charge

Opposition has lobbied the central government and the Delhi Police to protest against the lathi charge and atrocities on the students by infiltrating Jamia Millia University, demanding that the police action be properly investigated. The demand was made by the parties including Congress, CPI (M), RJD, SP.

Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad, Kapil Sibal, CPI (M) Sitaram Yechury, D Raja of CPI, Manoj Ja of RJD, Javed Ali Khan of SPL, Sharad Yadav held a joint press conference and made their demands.

They have demanded that the police brutality against the students be properly investigated. Ghulam Nabi Azad said that the police could not enter the campus without permission, but not only entered the campus but also entered the library and bathroom.

While CPI leader A Raja said the country had a civil war-like situation. Action should be taken against anyone who is allowed to enter Jamia University. RJD's Manoj Jae said that Bihar Dam has been announced on the 21st. The brutality of the police should be judged properly.

Meanwhile, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi also joined in the protest, along with several leaders including Congress leader Ahmed Patel sitting at the India Gate to protest and demanded action against the police. He also demanded release of all students who have been detained.

Other leaders of the Congress who joined the show include Casey Venugopal, AK Antony, PL Punia, Ahmed Patel. Priyanka Gandhi said the beating with the students is an attack on the soul of the country. Priyanka Gandhi also questioned why Prime Minister Narendra Modi was silent on the atrocities on students.
