It was reported that 18 Indians working in a huge ship with a Hong Kong flag were abducted by sea pirates near Nigeria.
ARX Maritime, an international organization that protects commercial ships and sailors against sea pirates or other tragedies, told Indian sources. Upon receiving the news, the Indian embassy had immediately taken action and contacted the Nigerian government.
According to official sources, the Indian Embassy in Nigeria contacted the governments of African countries immediately after receiving this information through the ARX and sought their help in freeing the Indian nationals.
