Pakistan expects more extensions from FATF

Islamabad Date: 5th December 2019, Thursday

Pakistan's Minister of Economic Affairs Hammad Azhar told the media that we have forwarded the report demanding implementation of FATF's suggestions on financial assistance to terrorism and we hope to get an extension by June 2020.

The FATF made 27 suggestions to Pakistan that were to be reported to Pakistan. Azhar told the media that the 27 suggestions received by the FATF were not possible to be implemented by February 2020, so we demanded an extension till June.

We have not yet received a response from those people. When you get that response, you will have the opportunity to speak in person. The report of the measures we have taken so far was submitted to FATF. Now his response was seen.
