Ranchi, December 15, 2019, Sunday

Former Indian Air Force Chief Air Force Marshal BS Dhanoa has revealed that on the second day of Balakot Airstrike, the Indian Air Force poured air strikes on a number of destinations in Pakistan.

Speaking at a festival held in Chandigarh, he said that the purpose behind the Balakot airstrike was to convey the message that Pakistan would have to pay the hefty cost of any terrorist attack on India. It has been remedied and those responsible will be fined. On February 27, when the Pak Air Force retaliated, we did not take any action against them. However, after the actions of the Pakistani Air Force, the Pakistani army was at our target. We were ready to attack a number of Pakistani Army targets.

Dhanoa said that the manner in which the Indian government has responded to the terrorist attacks is a unique example. India did not take any action after the 1993 and 2008 Mumbai blasts. India responded in the aftermath of the Uri attack in 2016. Pakistan has received a message that the new government will respond to any terrorist attack by military action. This fear has crept into Pakistan's mind.

He said that after the Pulwama terror attack, the government clearly desired that the attack be avenged and its location in Pakistan. The same message was sent through Balakot strike that we will kill you anywhere.
