If necessary, we should make another change in the Citizenship Research Bill, Amit Shahnu's suggestive statement

New Delhi, Dec 15 Dec 2019, Sunday

Following the protests in the North East states over citizenship law, Amit Shah has indicated that the law should be changed if needed.

While addressing a rally in Jharkhand, the Home Minister said that the Chief Minister of Meghalaya has asked me to make some changes in the law. I will meet him after Christmas and ask for a solution to this law for Meghalaya. No one should fear this law.

Amit Shahanu's statement is very suggestive. Because six states have already asked West Bengal, Kerala, Punjab, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh not to enforce this law.

Meanwhile, Amit Shah accused the Congress of inciting violence, saying that since we came up with this bill, the Congress was in pain. Congress itself is inciting violence against the bill.

He assured that the culture, language and social identity of the people of the North will not change because of this bill. I want to tell Assam and other states of the North that the Modi government is committed to protecting their culture.
