Governor Draupadi administers oath to three ministers along with Soren: The first cabinet meeting immediately after the oath

Hemant Soren was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Jharkhand. With this, he has become the 11th Chief Minister of Jharkhand. Governor Draupadi Murmu administered the oath of office to him.

In Jharkhand, the Congress and the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) have formed a coalition government, so Hemant Soren has also extended the Congress to his cabinet. Hemant Soren had also started his work with swearing-in and convening a cabinet meeting to discuss various issues.

Along with Hemant Soren, Congress legislator Alamgir Alam and Congress President Rameshwar Uranve were also sworn in as ministers. In addition, RJD MLA Satyanand Bhotka was also sworn in as minister. Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das was also present on the occasion.

In addition, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, former Rajya Sabha MP Sharad Yadav, Congress leader Mallikarjun Khadge, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, CPI DD. Several big leaders including Raja, CPM Sitaram Yechury were present.

The oath-taking ceremony was held at Morahabadi grounds in Ranchi, Jharkhand. Besides, DMK leader MK Stalin, JMM leader and Hemant Soren's father Sibu Soren, former Union Minister RPN Singh were also present. Hemant Soren has also recently extended RJD to Congress in his cabinet.

It is noteworthy that 30 Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) MLAs won while Congress and RJD together have 47 MLAs in the present government which is more than the majority. The BJP has lost power when it gets 25 seats. Hemant Soren's father, Sibu Soren, also campaigned for Jharkhand to get a separate state status.

Jharkhand's public trust in the Soren family has survived to this day. Five years later, the Soren family has come back to power in Jharkhand. Hemant Soren is a very prominent leader among the tribes. Shortly after he was sworn in, a cabinet meeting was convened, discussing several important issues and making decisions.
