Firing in Jharkhand during the second phase of voting

(Jharkhand) Date: December 7, 2019, Saturday

During the second phase of Jharkhand assembly elections, people who were casting their votes at Sisai Polling Station No. 36 in Gumla district on Saturday morning were stabbed and then fired, according to reports.

One person is said to have died in the shooting. Locals complained that some evil elements had started to stop us from voting.

Police had to fire to prevent a stabbing in which one person is said to have died. Immediately upon receiving the news of the incident, the officials of the Election Commission were on their way.

Jharkhand's election is like a question of life expectancy for the BJP. In the last election, in 2014, the BJP had a shining victory and ruled for five years. This time, in the wake of the BJP's internal tensions, some senior BJP leaders had revolted against the Mowdy mandal and contested as an independent.

In these circumstances it is very important for the BJP to win this election. Political pundits believe that there is an upward trajectory for the BJP. Probably wins by a very thin majority.
