While the protests are being celebrated across the country over the killing of a Hyderabad gang-accused in a police encounter, some politicians have challenged the encounter and voiced good news about the constitution and the judiciary.

Asimuddin Owaisi of AIMIM criticized the encounter and said that the encounter should be investigated in accordance with the Supreme Court order.

Shashi Tharoor of Congress wrote on social media that there is nothing to be said if the accused had a gun or if the police tried to run away with a gun. Otherwise this function cannot be accepted. More details need to be seen. The incident should not be criticized beforehand. But such violence cannot be acceptable in a law-abiding country.

Rekha Sharma, chairperson of the National Women's Commission said, "As a human being, I am happy. But it would be more appropriate for the accused to be punished by the judiciary. These types of encounters set the wrong example.

Marxist leader Sitaram Yechury also demanded an inquiry into the encounter and denounced the incident. He also questioned why the strict law enforced after the Nirbhaya scandal incident in 2012 did not follow.
