BJP won 12 out of 15 seats in Karnataka by-election, government survived

Karnataka Assembly elections were held by the BJP, in which the BJP has won. The BJP has won 12 seats in this by-election, which has led the BJP to retain power.

By-elections were held in 15 seats in Karnataka. In this, the BJP has won 12 seats, while Congress has won only two of these 15 seats. And a seat was obtained by the Independent candidate.

The Congress won 12 of the 15 seats in the assembly elections held in 2018, but this time it has won only two seats. JDS also contested on the remaining seats but all the seats have been lost. Shrath Bachegovda, a former independent candidate who was ousted from the BJP, won the Hoskote seat.

After defeating 12 of the 15 seats in Karnataka, Congress leader Siddaramaiah resigned from every position. The by-elections were held on 15 of the 17 seats held on December 5th. In which the BJP has won 12 seats in the present, the Congress was able to win only 2 seats, one seat was obtained by an independent candidate.

With this victory, the BJP now has 117 candidates while earlier it had only 105 candidates but formed the government with the support of other rebel MLAs, these rebel MLAs were suspended and declared ineligible.

The re-election was held on these seats, in which the rebel MLAs who contested as BJP's candidates have also won. On the other hand, the Congress leaders have won only two seats while the Opposition has lost 12 seats.

In Karnataka, the current majority is 111, out of 223 assembly seats, BJP has now won 117, which is more than the majority. So the BJP has been successful in saving the government. On the other hand, the leaders of the Congress are in a trance and leaders are resigning to accept moral responsibility.
