Babal at Aligarh Muslim University, internet service stopped this evening

Opposition in Uttar Pradesh was also started against the new citizenship reform law. Students of Aligarh Muslim University took to the streets on the issue and the internet service was closed till Friday evening as the atmosphere became tense.

The administrative system was strictly organized in opposition to the new law and in view of Juma. The district administration ordered the internet service to be shut down by Friday evening.

Aligarh Muslim University student union leader Mohamed Salman Imtiaz on Friday announced a grand march to the office of the District Campusati District Judge after the prayers.

Imtiaz said Juma's prayers would be held only in the Jama Masjid. He declared that our front would be peaceful. He called the law unconstitutional and illegal and urged more and more people to participate in the student union front.

The administration also called for additional police cooperation to avoid any untoward incidents.
