Airplane booked seat not allotted, inappropriate behavior with tourists: Pragya

New delhi date. December 22, 2019, Sunday

BJP MP Pragya Thakur from Bhopal accused private airline Spice Jet of not allocating booked seats for flights, inappropriate behavior with tourists. Pragya Thakur also complained to the airport director in Delhi. Spice Jet revealed the issue on Sunday.

Pragya Thakur, booked in the Malegaon blast case, was booked a 1A seat on SG2489 flight, but landed on her own wheelchair at the Delhi airport on Saturday. Pragya Thakur said that the staff of the airline did not treat the passengers properly. He didn't give me a booked seat.

Airport Director Anil Vikram confirmed receiving a complaint from Thakur. He said he had complained about seat allocation. We will investigate this on Monday. A Delhi-Bhopal flight is operated by Bombardier Q400 aircraft, a SpiceJet spokesman said.

The first row of this 78-seat aircraft is the seat of emergency rows and does not allocate to wheelchair travelers. The BJP MPs came on their own wheelchairs and the staff did not know that they were wheelchairs.

SpiceJet revealed on Sunday that BJP MP Pragya Thakur was on a wheelchair and requested him to be removed from the seat by the crew, but the flight was 45 minutes late.
