This retired Supreme Court judge objected to the Ayodhya verdict saying I was upset

New Delhi, Nov 11, 2019, Monday

Ashok Ganguly, a retired Supreme Court judge, expressed his displeasure over the Ayodhya dispute judgment.

In an interview to an English newspaper appearing from Kolkata, Justice Ganguly said that the minority whom the mosque viewed as a mosque was demolished. Now I find it doubtful that the Supreme Court's offer to construct the Ram temple on 2.77 acres of land and give five acres to Muslim elsewhere.

He said, 'I am a student of the Constitution. I do not accept this judgment. I cannot accept this judgment. For the last few generations, the minority people have been watching this place as a mosque. The controversial structure collapsed and I do not find it convinced that the Supreme Court granted leave to build the Ram temple there.

Although there were no prayers in 1856-57, there is also evidence that after the liberation of the country there were prayers. I do not know how to build a Ram temple in a place where a minor is worshiping and a minority is seen as a mosque. '

Justice Ganguly said that since the enactment of the independent India, the place was worshiped and the place was recognized as a mosque. The Constitution gives the minority people the right to practice their religion. That right is violated by this judgment.
