Tea snacks will be expensive on the trains now

With the Indian Railways Tourism and Khan-Pan division deciding to increase the cost of tea snacks served in trains, passengers of the capital, Shatabdi and remote trains will now have to spend more money.

These are the trains in which tea, breakfast and meal charges are collected at the time of ticket purchase. Tea snacks will be expensive on other trains too. As it is now worth ten bucks a cup of tea. But for now, you have to pay twenty bucks for a cup of tea. The passengers of the second class sleeper on other trains will have to pay fifteen bucks for a cup of tea. In the distant past, the tea breakfast that was served at Rs 80, the passengers will now have to pay Rs 120.

Of course, it is not clear whether there will be any change in the quality of tea snacks with the price increase. Currently, the first class AC of the capital Express has a meal of Rs. 145. The new tariff will be Rs 245 per plate.

The details of the new menu and new charges will be updated within fifteen days in the ticketing system and will begin to be implemented in 2020 ie 120 days later. In addition to the premium trains, the hike will apply equally to passengers of ordinary trains and mail-express trains.
