... So Imran Khan will impose crisis in Pakistan

Islamabad Ta: 28 Nov 2019, Thursday

According to media reports in Pakistan, Prime Minister Imran Khan could declare an internal crisis in the country, as the Supreme Court of India has declared that the extension given to the current military chief, General Qamar Javed Bajwa, is illegal and his job is under threat.

The reason for this is understandable. If the Supreme Court orders mandatory retirement of Bajwa, it does not rule out the possibility that the army will revolt against the present government.

If the army rebels, the so-called democracy will also be destroyed and the army can take action against Imran Khan, believing that the government has failed in the case.

The Supreme Court verdict can come at any time. Imran Khan called a special meeting of his cabinet on Wednesday night, which contained media reports discussing the issue.

The News and Jung newspapers put the news at the forefront and expressed the opinion that Imran Khan would not hesitate to impose a crisis in the country if a Supreme Court verdict goes against the general.

Pakistan's Chief Justice Hafiz Syed Khosa has knocked down the country's Attorney General on the issue of general appointment. The Supreme Court addressed the Prime Minister and suggested that the Government rethink the issue of extension to General Bajwa. Bajwa officially retires today, November 28th.

But in August of this year, the Imran Khan government granted a three-year extension to the service. He was challenged in the Supreme Court.
