A political earthquake has created in Maharashtra after Sharad Pawar's split in the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). At 7.45 pm on Friday night, the NCP, Congress and Shiv Sena agreed to form a government in Maharashtra. Sharad Pawar's nephew and NCP Legislative Party leader Ajit Pawar, who supported BJP, Devendra Fadnavis took oath as the chief minister at 8.00 am and Ajit Pawar himself.

There was an earthquake in the Pawar family, considered to be the most powerful in Maharashtra, after the news of Ajit Pawar's support to the BJP was announced. Sharad Pawar's daughter Supriya Sule placed the status of split on family and party on WhatsApp status. With this, Sharad Pawar's 41-year-old past was refreshed and history seems to be repeating itself.

Incidentally, Sharad Pawar also broke his own party like Ajit Pawar to reach the CM's seat 41 years ago. Was facing defeat.

At that time, Maharashtra Chief Minister Shankarrao Chavan resigned from the post with moral responsibility of defeat. In his place, Vasantdada Patil had become the new Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Yashwantrao Patil joined Congress (U).

In the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly in 1978, the two parties contested against each other. As a result of the Assembly elections, the two opposition parties of the Congress had formed a government together to keep the Janata Dal from power without getting majority.

In July 1978, Sharad Pawar formed the government with the support of the Janata Dal, leaving the Congress (U) with the gesture of a political master. At the age of 38, Sharad Pawar became the Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Yashwantrao Patil also joined Pawar's party as the size of Sharad Pawar increased on the royal land of Maharashtra .In Indira Gandhi's return to power in 1980, the Pawar-led Progressive Democratic Front government was broken.
