Senior Citizens will be screened in Kartarpur, Delhi government will do this at its own expense

Arvind Kejriwal's government on Friday approved a proposal that the state government should visit Kartarpur at its own expense to senior citizens of Sikh families residing in New Delhi.

Announcing that the state government will bear all the expenses incurred on the Kartarpur Yatra, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that a senior citizen will also be sent along with every senior citizen.

On Friday, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal convened a meeting of his cabinet and the proposal was approved in principle.

Kejriwal said that the state government would also pay a fee of 20 dollars imposed by the Pakistani government. Kejriwal also said the state government had made this historic decision on the occasion of Guru Nanak's 550th birth anniversary.
