Indian Justice Report, Maharashtra Number, Gujarat Note taken in this regard

According to Indian Justice report, Maharashtra is the leading country in the country in terms of law and order.

For the first time, the state has been ranked through this report on the issue of law and order in India. Which includes 18 large and medium sized states. Maharashtra gets first place in overall over. The top four things to consider were the ranking of the police, the justice system, jail and legal aid. Based on which the states are given a score of 10. Here are the top five states in the big states

The other findings of the India Justice Report are:

- There are about 18200 judges in the country. 23% of the judges' vacancies are still vacant

- Only 7 percent of the police department is women. About 10 percent of the prison staff and 26 percent of the judges are women.

- All prisons in the country have more than capacity inmates. The average is 114 percent.

- There is a shortage of personnel in the police, prisons and courts. In just five years, only fifty percent of states have tried to fill vacancies.

As of January 1, 2017, vacancies were up by 22 percent in the police system in the country, up to 38 percent in prisons and 20 to 40 percent in courts. Gujarat is the only state where in the last five years the best work has been done to fill the vacancies in police, prisons and courts. Reserve category positions could not be filled in any state.

There were only 6 states in 2016 and 2017 where all court cases were decided. These states included Gujarat, Daman Diu, Dadra Nagar Haveli, Tripura, Orissa, Lakshadweep, Tamil Nadu and Manipur.

68% of prisoners are under trial in various state jails. The number of under-trial prisoners in all states is over 50 percent.

In preparing the report, aspects of each state's budget, human resources, workload of employees, basic services and facilities were taken into consideration.
