BRICS summit begins in Brazil, meeting with Prime Minister Modi's Putin

An annual summit of BRICS countries has begun in Brazil, in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi also arrived. The two-day summit also includes heads of Brazil, China, Russia, South Africa, with whom Modi will meet.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted and informed him after arriving in Brazil, saying that I have come to Brazil, here I will meet with Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro.

Agriculture has been a major contributor to both Brazil and India, which has led to the possibility of some agreements between the two countries on agriculture. When Narendra Modi meets with Russian President Putin on Wednesday, according to Brazilian time, he is likely to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping.

Modi said, "I fully hope that the 11th BRICS Summit will link all five countries associated with this organization on issues ranging from cultural to conservation." And will also make important contributions to business, agriculture, space, etc.

Modi said that action against terrorism would also be a major issue at this summit. Modi has already traveled to Brazil in 2014. This is the sixth summit after he became Prime Minister. Modi is also likely to speak on issues such as the environment and global warming.
