BJP ready to make NRC an election issue

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had earlier announced preparations for the 2024 parliamentary elections. The issue of NRC will be of great importance for the next election.

The issue of Bangladeshi and Pakistani Muslims is extremely sensitive as they enter into various states of the country and the BJP leadership firmly believes that the majority will attract Hindu voters.

Home Minister Amit Shah has officially announced that NRC will be implemented across the country after Assam. The statement was strongly opposed by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Other states have, for the moment, been silent in this mood.

Earlier, the issue of the Ram temple was attracting voters. Now the BJP plans to advance the NRC issue. However, there are some leaders in the party who firmly believe that this issue is not guaranteed to be 100 per cent effective in winning the parliamentary elections.
