Amazon and Flipkart's Festival Sale, which runs from September 29 to October 4, has sold Rs 19,000 crore, according to a new report released today.

According to a Bengaluru-based research firm's report, sales of Flipkart and Amazon owned by Walmart were 90% of the total online sales from September 29 to October 4.

Online sales are estimated to be worth Rs 39,000 crore throughout October, with Amazon and Flipkart accounting for the majority of the trends seen in the Festival Sale.

The research firm's CEO further said that sales of Rs 19,000 crore in just six days, despite the slowdown, indicate that the future of online sales in India is bright.

Compared to last year's sales, sales of this time sales have increased by 30%. This time around, people from Tier-II and Tier-3 cities have also made large purchases online.

Most of the mobiles are sold in online sales. Mobile accounted for 55% of total sales in six days. Customers who wanted to buy mobiles have been waiting patiently for this cell and they are pending purchase. Which shows that the trend of online shopping in India is increasing rapidly.

Amazon's Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) saw a growth of 22% over last year. However, its volume growth has increased by 30%.

This time a large amount of online purchases have been made from rural areas. According to Flipkart, the number of new customers has increased by 50% compared to last year.
