Chinese army extends training of its troops adjacent to Indian border

New Delhi, October 16, 2019, Wednesday

China's military has increased training of its troops adjacent to the Indian border following the Doklam dispute amid talks being held to improve relations between India and China.

After the Doklam dispute, China has begun training troops on the Line of Actual Control, which they have never given before. 400 sessions of training were held in 2018 in the Eastern Sector of China border adjacent to the Indian border. By the end of April this year, the Chinese Army had conducted 470 sessions of training.

According to sources, the Chinese army has never seen such training before. But after the Doklam controversy, the Chinese army has begun rigorous training. Failing soldiers have been replaced as punishment. Training provided to Chinese troops along the border includes martial arts firing, grenade-throwing techniques and other physical training.

"The training is done in areas where soldiers from both countries can see each other," said an Indian Army official. So obviously, China Mind is playing the game by giving Chinese soldiers such training. However, Indian soldiers are very strong in terms of training. China wants to show that even after the realization of India's strength in the Doklam dispute, Chinese troops are not even ready to fall back on training.
