Alia Bhatt named final for Bhanshali's 'Gangubai'

As soon as work on the film 'Inshallah' stopped, there was talk in the media that Bhansali was planning another film with Alia, without losing courage. Which seems to be true now. Sanjay Bhansali's upcoming movie will be 'Gangubai' in which Alia will be seen in the lead character.

"Bhansali has announced the film. The film is named after 'Gangubai Kathiawadi'. Alia Bhatt will be in the lead role in the film, the film will be released on September 7, "the source said.

The film is based on a chapter in author Hussain Zaidi's book Mafia Queens of Mumbai. Gungubai was known as the head of Kamathi Pura. Earlier Bhanashali was to do this film with Priyanka Chopra. But Priyanka later refused to do the film, citing busyness. As soon as 'Inshallah' came to a close, Bhansali made the final for the film without disappointing Alia.
