A two-storey building collapsed in a gas cylinder on Monday morning in the Mau area of Uttar Pradesh. At least ten people were killed in the crash. Many others feared being buried under the rubble of a collapsed building.
The whole family was devastated by the sudden tragedy. It took a lot of effort to get those buried under the rubble. Upon receiving information of the incident, the relief team rushed to the spot but the people under the building debris had experienced good difficulty in evacuating, police said.
Fifteen injured were sent to the hospital for treatment. Some other people are still buried. Local administration officials also ran to the scene. How the cylinder blast happened was also under investigation. Police, however, ruled out the possibility of a breakup.
On receiving the news, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath called on the district administration to immediately assist the victims of the tragedy.
