With the re-examination of the 1984 Sikh massacre, Kamal Nath's problem is likely to increase

New delhi date. September 10, 2019, Tuesday

The difficulties of Kamal Nath, the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh and the talkative leader of the Congress, were likely to increase. The Sikh massacre following the assassination of the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in 1984 is going to be re-examined.

Akali Dal MLA Manjinder Singh Sirsa said in the capital New Delhi that a new investigation into the Sikh massacre was to begin. Earlier Congress governments had freed their leaders involved in the massacre by acquittal or closed their case file.

Sirsa further said that there were complaints against Kamal Nath in at least seven cases in the anti-Sikh massacre. Kamal Nath has been the Congress general secretary and has also enjoyed the central post. Complaints were lodged at Vasant Vihar, Sunlight Colony, Kalyanpuri, Parliament Road, Connaught Place, Patel Nagar and Shahdara police stations. But no action was taken against Kamal Nath.

Sirsa also informed that Kamal Nath was also among the violent mobs occupying the Rakabganj gurudwara and he too carried out the violence. There are eyewitnesses to the incident. The Home Ministry called upon the people, accurate witnesses and NGOs to come forward with accurate information on the incident. The case against Kamal Nath is based on FIR No. 601/84. One of the seven cases is that of Rakabganj Gurudwara. Many people were present at the gurdwara when the incident took place. Some of them may be witnesses in this case.
