Uttar Pradesh's youth lack qualification, not employment: Gangwar

Labor Minister Santosh Kumar on Thursday made the controversial statement that the country lacks employment, but the youth of Uttar Pradesh lack qualifications. While the seriousness of the economic downturn in the country is a matter of concern, the central ministers of the Modi government are making ridiculous statements on issues such as economic recovery and employment in the country.

Labor Minister Santosh Gangwar has also been included in the series after Nirmala Sitharaman, Piyush Goyal. He accused the opposition of insulting the North Indians, blaming the lack of eligibility among the youth for unemployment.

Union Labor Minister Santosh Kumar said on Thursday that there was no shortage of employment opportunities in the country, but companies visiting North India for recruitment were complaining of 'lack of qualification' among the youths. However, the opposition strongly opposed his statement. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Mayawati termed the Union minister's statement as abusive and ridiculous.

However, Satish later turned down Gangar, saying that his statement had been misrepresented. India's unemployment rate has risen to 6.1 per cent in the top 45 in 2017-18, when labor minister's comments on unemployment have created controversy. The unemployment rate was 6.1 percent in May 2019.

Santosh said in his Lok Sabha constituency in Bareilly on Thursday that newspapers are currently filled with unemployment news. I handle the Ministry of Labor and Employment and check these issues daily. I understand this problem. Companies visiting Uttar Pradesh for recruitment complain of lack of qualification among the youths here.

Criticizing Gangwar's statement, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra tweeted that minister, you have been in government for more than five years. Jobs are not created. The jobs that were left in the economic downturn brought on by the government. Young people are waiting for the government to do something good. You want to avoid insulting the North Indians. It won't run.

On the other hand, BSP chief Mayawati said on Twitter that after the ridiculous statements made by central level ministers regarding the serious problem of economic depression in the country, instead of eliminating the unemployment of the country and especially the North Indians, it is not a lack of jobs, but a lack of qualification.

This is a matter of shame, for which the country should apologize. After his statement, the controversy that was created was turned over to Ganguly, saying that my statement was misrepresented. What I said was a different context. The country lacks skill and the government has started a Skill Development Ministry for it. The job of this ministry is to educate the youth for the job.
