(PTI) Washington, Ta. September 5, 2019, Thursday

Under UAP, India declared four notorious terrorists - Hafiz Saeed, Masood Azhar, Zaki-ul-Rehman-Lakhvi and Dawood Ibrahim - as terrorists. India supported India on this point. The US said the move would strengthen the fight against terrorism.

For the first time since the law was amended in the UAPA, the central government took action against the Kukhtat and Most Wanted terrorists. Lashkar-e-Taiba founder declared terrorist Hafiz Saeed, terrorist Masood Azhar, chief of Jaish-e-Mohammad, terrorist Zaki-ul-Rehman Lakhvi and underworld don Dawan Ibrahim.

Under the new law, it will be easier to strengthen the sanctions against all four of these notorious terrorists. The US appreciated the move. The United States said that India's move would take strong action against the terrorists.

Alice Wells, a South and Central Asia official at the US Foreign Ministry, tweeted that the United States was with India in the fight against terrorism. The new law praises the United States for action against these four notorious terrorists.

The Indian Parliament made some important changes by revising the UAP Act of 1967. It was for the first time that action was taken against these notorious terrorists. At that time, the Indian government noted that the four terrorists - Hafiz Saeed, Masood Azhar, Zaki-ul-Rehman-Lakhvi and Dawood Ibrahim - have been proven more than once to be involved in terrorist activities in India. Therefore, it is necessary to take action against all four terrorists.
