The accused was declared innocent in a 26-year-old case due to only one 'slipper'

In a rape case that was reported nearly 26 years ago, the police did not seize the shoes they used as evidence. The court has acquitted the accused by giving the police the benefit of the money.

Delhi Saket Metropolitan Court Magistrate Anurag Das recently acquitted the accused for not holding the slippers used in the beatings during a case hearing.

The court, citing the natural principles of justice, said that the accused is entitled to be acquitted if there is any slight doubt in the guilt of the accused. According to the court, the police failed to seize the slippers used in the alleged assault during the investigation. Under these circumstances, the accused is acquitted.

According to the complaint filed by the police, the prince attacked his brother Vijay Kumar Bansal by wearing a sandal. A special campaign has been underway to resolve the pending case for more than 20 years at the behest of the Supreme and High Court.

The Saket Metropolitan Magistrates' Court heard the case under the 26-year-old. On November 4, 1993, Vijay Kumar Bansal filed a dispute. Accordingly, a case was registered against the complainant's brother in Greater Kailash police station.

According to Vijay Kumar's complaint, he was discussing part of the property with his mother on the day of the incident. At that time, his brother, Prince, went down the stairs and kicked in his shoes. Police later registered a case against the prince.
