The Supreme Court has allowed Iltija, daughter of former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to visit her mother in Kashmir.
Iltija's lawyer made a plea like leftist leader Sitaram Yechury. When Yechury sought leave to meet his friend, the Supreme Court had said that without engaging in any political activity, you could only go to Kashmir to meet Dost.
The Supreme Court accepted the application and allowed Iltija to go to Kashmir but said that if necessary, you should also get government permission. The court said that you can go to any area of Srinagar.
The petition was presented before Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi, Justice SA Bobde and Justice S. Nazir.
