Shehla Rashid lodged a crime of treason for spreading lies about the army

A case has been registered against Shehla Rashid, leader of the Jammu and Kashmir People's Movement. Shehla Rashid accused the army of tweeting after Article 370 was abolished, saying the allegations were false.

Later the entire matter reached the Supreme Court and demanded action against Shehla Rashid. Police said on Friday that a sedition case has been registered against Shehla Rashid.

Akhil Alok Srivastava, a Supreme Court lawyer before Delhi Police, claimed that JNU's former student leader, Shehla Rashid, tweeted that he was being tortured by the army in Kashmir by entering into civilian homes.

In addition to this, some of the housemates have been beaten. However, the lawyer claimed that the allegations were false. After the Delhi Police sent the entire case to the special cell.

At present, a complaint has been lodged under section 124A, 153A of sedition against Shehla Rashid on September 3rd. Delhi Police Special Cell is also investigating a case of treason against Kanhaiya Kumar, another JNU alumnus.

This year, Delhi Police filed a charge sheet in the case of Kanhaiya Kumar. Shehla Rashid was also among the 37 accused in Article 12.

On the other hand, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that no decision has been taken by the Delhi government to investigate against JNU alumnus Kanhaiya Kumar and others.

However, in the coming days, the Home Ministry of Delhi Government will take a decision on further investigation after taking into consideration the whole matter and collecting information. There will be no political pressure or even any intervention by you in this regard.
