New delhi date. September 20, 2019, Friday

It has been 7 days since the revised motor vehicle laws came into force in the country and so far hundreds of thousands of rupees have come against the traffic currency. But there is a strange incident in Odisha. Police have seized a new Honda Activa of 1.5, and directly imposed a fine of one lakh.

Odisha police have seized a brand new Honda Activa and fined the dealer directly one lakh rupees after questioning its owner. Activa's owner bought it from Bhubaneswar on August 7 and was stopped by the transport authorities at a checkpost in Cuttack on September 7th.

The RTO sentenced the dealer to a fine of around Rs 1 lakh for not having the registration plate in place because Activa did not have a registration number.

RTO officials fined the dealer in accordance with the new motor vehicle law. He was also ordered to cancel his dealership's trade license on charges of delivering the vehicle without any documentation.

The dealer is required to assign a registration number, insurance and a pollution certificate to the customer before handing over the vehicle. The practice has been going on for a long time, and the fine motor vehicle laws have increased.

In this case it is a question of how the customer will get his scooter back and how much he has to pay. Dealers across the country use trade certificates to transport vehicles from stockyards to showrooms. But after the sale of the vehicle, it is necessary to have a Temporary Registration Number or Permanent Registration Number.
