Opposition forces have protested in India following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Abi Ki Bar Trump government' statement for US President Donald Trump in the Modi program. The Congress termed Modi's statement a violation of Indian foreign policy.

Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP Anand Sharma on Twitter criticized the Prime Minister's 'Ab Ki Bar Trump government' statement saying that honorable Prime Minister you have violated the long-running Indian foreign policy not to interfere in any other country's domestic elections. This is detrimental to India's long-term strategic interests.

Sharma further said, "We want to remind you that you are not our Prime Minister in the United States or the Star Comptroller of the United States. We do not mind that US President Donald Trump is present in the Hoodie Modi program."

We hope Prime Minister Modi explains to US President Donald Trump about increasing the number of H1B visas, reducing visa fees and returning India's GSP status.

Chidambaram, who was jailed, criticized Modi's statement that all was well in India in a tweet by his family. Chidambaram said, "India is all good. Except for unemployment, loss of jobs, low pay, violence by mobs, closure in Kashmir and imprisoning opposition leaders.

Anand Sharma added on Twitter that India's bilateral relations with both the United States Republicans and the Democrats have been good. Taking part in Trump's propaganda by Prime Minister Modi is akin to interfering with the country's democracy and sovereignty. It is worth mentioning that even in the US, Modi's statement could be considered to interfere with his election.

In yesterday's program, Trump also praised Modi, saying that Prime Minister Modi was doing very well in India. I am delighted to be attending this historic event. It is a pleasure for me that I am with them. We have similar dreams and I am proud of the Indians living in America. India and America respect each other.
