West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee met with Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday. During his interview with Amit Shah, he expressed concern over the NRC. Earlier on Wednesday, Mamata Banerjee had a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Meanwhile, Mamata Banerjee also invited the Prime Minister to visit Bengal.
After an interview with Home Minister Amit Shah, Mamata Banerjee said that several issues were discussed with the Home Minister including abuse of the Constitution. Mamata Banerjee said that people have fears about NRC, she urged people not to disturb. After an interview with Prime Minister Modi yesterday, Mamata Banerjee expressed her desire to meet Amit Shah.
In fact, the CBI is taking action against former Kolkata Police Commissioner Rajiv Kumar. According to sources, Mamata Banerjee has risked bowing to the BJP to save Rajiv Kumar.
